In my experience, people who are referred to as shamans are tricksters.  I think that people who perform real magic (I've known a few indigenous ones who are impressive) won't use that term.  Carol won't call herself that.

There might be a suitable forum for sharing material like this, Mark, but I don't think EW is because it's a powerful distraction and attracts the wrong crowd, in my opinion: people who want to 'talk about' finer reality instead of participate in it.  Anyone who flings orgonite is welcomed into the finer realms if he/she will only pay attention to heart promptings and follow them, obviously.  These are the folks I want EW to attract; not self-inflated mystics.

I read some Carlos Castaneda related material in the bookstore recently, skimmed over it, and quickly realized it was disturbing some of my lower chakras as it had in the past when I read his books several years ago...just didn't KNOW that was a bad thing back then.
