Gerhard Huber is the first person to specifically gift the Sahara, as far as I know.   I think it's important to keep posting about this because I don't want anyone to steal the credit that he earned.  This is also why I frequently mention that Don Bradley essentially got rid of Los Angeles' smog and set the conditions for the Sylphs to return to those skies regularly.

Jamie in Japan sent me this news link.
