My wife and I did some gifting the week before last, we went up north for a short holiday, where we spent a day/night in York, I didn't get the chance to gift there as we were only there for a day and the wife had to much planned! (especially after a rather long drive up there from Dorset) But it is a beautiful city and I will be back some time and will gift it then.
From there we went up to Whitby for a couple of nights, so I took the opportunity to gift around the Abby and tossed some in the sea plus gifted around the centre of the town and all the towers I happened across. From here we then went down to Chesterfield, however driving there we drove passed this;
Well, you don't pass up opportunities like that! So I gifted as close as I could with about 10TB's and a special piece John had given me as it was obviously where it should be! It could do with alot more, sadly I didn't have any bigger pieces to scatter as it wasn't planned.
This was clearly a significant site, Sylphs filled the skies shortly after as we drove south.
From there we drove a largely uneventful journey down to chesterfield (well is it ever uneventful when you have done some gifting and the skies fill with Sylphs? not for me), where my wife bought a vintage (aka old and questionable) sewing machine at the market, and, I gifted the towers in the centre of town.
Lots of Sylphs continued to hang out as we drove around the edge of the peak district where we gifted some more, no idea where really as we were just driving where we thought the landscape looked nicest! Finally I gifted the towers I came across in Clay Cross as we were staying nearby.
When I got back, Matt, who is a gifter (up in Yorkshire), emailed and asked where I had gifted as he noticed a big surge in POR on the thursday (when most of the gifting was done, the towers in whitby around the football club, the flyingdales site and chesterfield centre). He said it was akin to a new CB or a significant site being gifted, which was hearty confirmation.
Sorry to the folks who live up there, that I didn't get to gift some more, but we needed to relax a little as well (for my wifes sake).
Now I have taken my site offline I will hopefully get to do some more before the weather completely turns.
